The Easter Open is a two-day international youth football tournament, for boys and girls. Teams travel from Belgium, Germany, England, Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Sweden, Denmark, USA, Austria, Hungary and Russia and of course the Netherlands. that’s one of the great things about this tournament you get the chance to play against opponents from different countries.

The tournament will be played during the Easter weekend, Saturday and Sunday. In total there will be 50 excellent grass pitches in use over the weekend. On Saturday the group-stage-games will be played on random grounds. On Sunday the entire age-group will play their final games on the same ground. Sunday sees the battle for the main trophy start and even more important, the Fair Play trophy. Games will be played in 25 different age-categories for boys and girls.

Participating teams will stay in one of the Holiday Parks we use in the area specifically for this event. You will stay in clean and comfortable 4, 6 or 8 berth chalets and have access to the varied amenities available at each park, some have swimming pools, these parks tend to fill up first! All Parks are within easy reach of the tournament pitches

Tournament Age Groups - something to consider

Most countries throughout the World use January 1st to define their team age groups. For instance for the 2009/10 season U12’s in England are usually born August 1997 and later, in Europe an U12 will be born after January 1998.
Many tournaments are aware of this difference and give age concessions, check with us when you are choosing which event to enter.
