Holland Easter Open

During Easter 2008 “The Easter Open” organising committee would like to welcome all teams, players, coaches, referees and spectators at the ninth edition of their international youth football tournament.

The tournament will be played during the Easter weekend, Saturday and Sunday. In total there will be 50 excellent grass pitches in use over the weekend once again we expect to see nice, fair and good games there.The Easter Open tournament takes place in the villages Haps, Vianen, Rijkevoort, Wanroij, Stevensbeek, Oploo, Wilbertoord, Sint Hubert, Venray and Gennep. This is a rural area in the northeast of the province Noord-Brabant. The area is centered between the cities Nijmegen, Venlo and Eindhoven, close to the A73 motorway, near the German border.The Easter Open is a two-day international youth football tournament, for boys and girls. Teams travel from Belgium, Germany, England, Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Sweden, Denmark, USA, Austria, Hungary and Russia and of course the Netherlands. We hope all of those nations to be present in 2008 including teams from Italy and Spain – that’s one of the great things about this tournament the chance to play against opponents from different countries.

On Saturday the group-stage-games will be played on random grounds. On Sunday the entire age-group will play their final games on the same ground. Sunday the battle for the main trophy will start and, even more important, the Fair Play trophy. Games will be played in 16 different age-categories for boys and girls.

Participating teams will stay in one of the Holiday Parks we use in the area specifically for this event.. You will stay in clean and comfortable 4, 6 or 8 berth chalets and have access to the amenities available at each park. All Parks are within easy reach of the tournament pitches.

Tour Prices vary according to your group size; ask for a price for your group. As a guide expect to pay in the region of £154 per person (plus flights) if you choose to fly or £169 per person if you travel directly from your home base by private coach. These prices are based upon a group of 35.

We can arrange breakfast at the holiday Park for £19 per person for 3 days or breakfast and Evening Meals at the Park for £53.00 per person for 3 days.
