Football Cup Barcelona – October

Football Cup Barcelona is an international youth football tournament for boys and girls, held in Salou and Cambrils area in the south of Barcelona. 2019 sees the organisers adding a second weekend of football for the first time.

A high-quality football tournament designed to provide unforgettable days of football and fun – on and off the field. The tournament will be played at a fantastic football venue with 8 full-size fields – four high-quality natural grass (two hybrid fields) and four latest generation artificial grass fields.

A perfect combination of football and holidays – two days full of matches, first class football venue, a visit to the Camp Nou stadium and to the Port Aventura theme park.

Around 80 teams from 15 countries usually take part in the October tournament which is approved by Catalan Football Federation (FFF) and Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

Tournament Programme

Friday: Upon arrival you will transfer to Football Salou for the tournament check in and age check. After which you will transfer to your hotel.

Saturday: After breakfast the tournament starts. There will be a full day of matches. Free time.

Sunday: After breakfast there will be another full day of matches culminating in the Finals & Trophy presentation (all teams) Free time.

Monday: Your final day begins after breakfast when you have more free time before transferring to the airport for your flight home.

Tournament Pitches

All the matches in the tournament will be played at a fantastic football venue – Complex Esportiu Futbol Salou – with 8 full size fields – four high quality natural grass (two hybrid fields) and four latest generation artificial grass fields.

In addition to the pitches the complex offers 16 changing rooms for referees, coaches and footballers. A changing room is the last place you see before stepping on the field. A shared space where players and the technical team can chat to give the best in the 90 minutes of play. That’s why, at CE Futbol Salou we take care of all the details.

They have showers, sinks and heating. Players access the pitch directly from the locker room to maximise concentration before the game.

 

Other features are a Bar and coffee shop which offers the opportunity for 
relaxed chatting, disconnecting or simply getting to know a little more about other players. The bar-cafeteria is the ideal place to recharge batteries and have a drink.

Whilst the outdoor terrace is where you can watch the matches of the tournaments, analyse rivals or simply enjoy the Mediterranean climate.

Finally the lounge area of CE Futbol Salou is a perfect area to take a break; A break room designed for different players, from the same team or rivals, to relax in a relaxed atmosphere, chatting or watching a football match together thanks to the magnificent views of thefootball fields. The decoration, with sofas and a view to the fields, make that soccer continues to be the protagonist. There is also WiFi access.

Accommodation

Teams will stay in Cambrils Park Resort quadruple villas with two bedrooms – minimum 4 people per villa, 5th person can be accommodated on sofa bed.

Please contact us if you need villas for 6 people – there are a limited number of villas/apartments for 6 people with 3 bedrooms.

The accommodation is right next to where the tournament is played.

Free Time Options
The Camp Nou Experience

The Camp Nou Experience has become an obligatory stop for visitors to Barcelona.

The Experience gives the chance to walk through the most emblematic areas of the stadium: the away team changing room and the players’ tunnel, the dugouts, the press room, commentators box and of course the Museum.

The Museum is the most modern football museum thanks to its interactive wall spaces, large scale audiovisual displays and an extensive display of objects to explain the history of FC Barcelona and understand the values that make Barça “més que un club” – “ more than a club”.

 

Port Aventura

Port Aventura is a theme park located in Salou. There are not many places in the world where you can experience adventures and excitement that will stay with you forever!

The roller coaster thrill rides will leave you weak at the knees with breathless excitement! Spins, turns, flips and even rides that have you ‘flying’ close to the ground, there’s a thrill ride for everyone at Port Aventura!
