Football Cup Barcelona – April

17-20th April 2020

Football Cup Barcelona is an international youth football tournament for boys held in Salou and Cambrils area in the south of Barcelona. The tournament will be played at Football Complex Salou a new football venue with four high quality natural grass and two latest generation artificial grass fields.

In 2019 a total of 112 teams participated from all over the World including Scotland, Brazil, France, England, Paraguay, Belgium, Finland, Ireland, Sweden, Northern Ireland, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Holland and, of course, Spain. Teams in past years have entered from Wales, Rumania, Malta, Slovenia, Gibraltar, Croatia, Luxembourg, Indonesia, Canada and even Australia!

Tournament Programme
Football Cup Barcelona

Friday: Arrival and check in, dinner at your hotel: Teams can choose to stay either in hotels (in double/twin/triple or quadruple rooms) or Cambrils Park Resort (2-3-4 people per villa). If players stay without parents in villa – 4 players per villa.

Saturday: After breakfast the tournament starts, there will be a full day of matches.

Sunday: More tournament matches including the finals and presentation of trophies.

Monday: Free time

Football Cup Barcelona

Football Cup Barcelona offers two accommodation choices, Hotels or Cambrils Park Resort.

Teams that choose a hotel stay will stay in double/twin/triple or quad rooms and prices include:

Airport transfers (Barcelona El Prat or Reus)

Full-Board Meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) with mineral water included

Tournament transfers between the hotel and pitches
Tournament Medal for all players and coaches

Hotel name will be confirmed for teams about 14 days before tournament.

Football Cup Barcelona

Cambrils Park Resort:  is a mile from the beach and features modern apartments and themed villas, and is 7 miles from the Gaudí Centre museum. Units range from colourful wooden houses to log cabins to cool three bedroom apartments.

All offer kitchens and pull-out sofas, plus flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, and terraces with lounge chairs. Some have hot tubs.

Amenities include 4 restaurants, 2 bars, 2 snack bars and a supermarket, plus 4 outdoor pools, 1 with an artificial beach. There are also tennis courts, a gym, mini-golf and a spa with a hot tub and a sauna (fees). Kids’ activities include art and sports (fees).

The Camp Nou Experience

The Camp Nou Experience
The Camp Nou Experience has become an obligatory stop for visitors to Barcelona. The Experience gives the chance to walk through the most emblematic areas of the stadium: the away team changing room and the players’ tunnel, the dugouts, the press room, commentators box and of course the Museum.

The Museum is the most modern football museum thanks to its interactive wall spaces, large scale audiovisual displays and an extensive display of objects to explain the history of FC Barcelona and understand the values that make Barça “més que un club” – “ more than a club”.

Port Aventura
Port Aventura is a theme park located in Salou. There are not many places in the world where you can experience adventures and excitement that will stay with you forever!

These roller coaster thrill rides will leave you weak at the knees with breathless excitement! Spins, turns, flips and even rides that have you ‘flying’ close to the ground, there’s a thrill ride for everyone at Port Aventura!

Barcelona Visit                  Barcelona is perfect to relax in, stroll around and enjoy. The cityʼs location on the shores of the Mediterranean brings pleasant temperatures. Make the most of the sunshine and take a stroll along Barcelona’s beaches. You can eat at open-air restaurants at any time of the year or take a drink at one of its many pavement cafés.

Getting There

There are two main options for flights to the tournament. The nearest airport is Reus which is 7 miles away from the tournament base, however there is only one airline that flies there from the UK and that is Ryan Air from East Midlands.

A better option is to fly into Barcelona El Prat which is 60 miles away. The following airlines fly there.
