Vsport Cup

April 14-17th 2022

This is a new tournament that will be played on quality artificial grass pitches in Cambrils, Tarragona, Reus, Riudoms or Vilaseca, between 6 and 9 miles. from the accommodation.

Each team is guaranteed at least four matches. There will be approximately 80 participating teams across the various age groups from all across Europe. There will be trophies and medals for the Winner and Runners up in each age group.

Tarragona is one of the top attractions of Spain’s Catalonia region, It is blessed with sunshine, a beautiful coastline, and interesting ancient monuments. This port town hugs the golden shores of Catalonia’s Costa Daurada, the Golden Coast, and much of the city overlooks the Mediterranean.

Easily reached from the UK with flights to the main airport in the area, Reus, this is an ideal base for an Easter tournament.

Accommodations

Participating teams will stay in one of three hotels, Salou Park, Regina Grand Hotel or H10 Salarius Palace. All of them are within easy reach of the tournament pitches. We’ve shown a brief description of each below:

Salou Park
The four-star Salou Park is set in Salou and overlooks Capellans Beach. Among the various facilities of this property are a terrace and a bar. The property comes with an outdoor pool and is located 1.1 miles from Port Aventura Theme Park.

At the hotel, all rooms feature a private bathroom, free WiFi, while some rooms include a sea view.

A buffet breakfast is served each morning at the property. At the accommodation you will find a restaurant serving international cuisine.

4R Salou Park offers a children’s playground. You can play table tennis at this 4-star hotel, and bike hire and car hire are available.

Ferrari Land is 1.2 miles from the hotel. The Priorat wineries are also nearby. Reus Airport is 5.6 miles away.

Regina Grand Hotel is located just a 10-minute walk from the beach. This four-star Hotel offers air-conditioned rooms with a balcony and satellite TV. It features an outdoor pool surrounded by a sun terrace.

Located on the terrace is the La Masia de Can Vicenç Restaurant, where you can enjoy an assortment of pizzas and sandwiches. There is also a restaurant with a buffet service.

Regina Gran Hotel features a spa area, available at an extra cost, including a heated pool and Turkish bath. There is a cardio-fitness area and beauty treatments are available. It also has a mini-golf course, paddle court and a multi-sports court.

The hotel is 10 minutes drive from Port Aventura, and you can walk to the train station in 15 minutes. Reus Airport is approximately 8.1 miles away. The Priorat wineries are nearby, and you can drive to central Barcelona in 1 hour and 15 minutes.

H10 Salauris Palace is a four-star hotel with a lagoon-style outdoor pool with a waterfall and hot tub, a heated indoor pool and a gym with a Turkish bath and sauna. All rooms have a private balcony.

Each air-conditioned room at the Salauris Palace is bright and spacious. Rooms include a free safe and a TV with international channels.

The hotel’s Salauris bar offers free Wi-Fi access. There is a poolside snack bar and a buffet restaurant with show cooking. The H10 also provides entertainment for all ages.

The Salauris Palace is 900 yards from Port Aventura Theme Park and a 15-minute walk from Salou’s Platja Gran Beach. Reus Airport and the historic city of Tarragona are both just 6.2 miles away.

 

Tournament Schedule

Thursday 14th April: Arrival of teams and tournament registration. Check-in at the accommodation. Dinner.
Friday 15th April: Matches throughout the day. Full-board at the hotel.
Saturday 16th April: Matches throughout the day. Full-board at the hotel.
Sunday 17th April: Finals day. Presentation of the trophies and departure of the teams. The final meal will be lunch.

Things to do in the area

Port Aventura Park
Get set for non-stop fun in the sun at Spain’s biggest and best amusement park, Port Aventura World!

This epic attraction combines a thrilling theme park, a Caribbean-style waterpark and Europe’s only Ferrari Land, all in one huge, fun-packed place.

White-knuckle rides, free-fall slides and a non-stop programme of spectacular shows are just a few of the exciting treats to look forward to.

Tarragona
In this effervescent port city, Roman history collides with beaches, bars and a food scene that fill the air with the smell of freshly grilled seafood.

The biggest lure is the wealth of ruins in Spain’s second-most important Roman site, including a mosaic-packed museum and a seaside amphitheatre.

Many fantastic places to eat gives you good reason to linger in the lanes in the attractive medieval centre, flanked by a towering cathedral with Romanesque and Gothic flourishes.

Barcelona
Since the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games, the city has become an indispensable arena for the world of sports.

In addition, it is a privilege to exercise outdoors in the Park Collserola, Montjuïc or the coast. It stands out as the birthplace of one of the best football clubs in the world: FC Barcelona.

We can organise excursions for you, both a city tour or a tour of the fantastic Camp Nou.

Beaches
There are many fantastic beaches in the area, both long sandy beaches with easy access and secluded coves with crystalline waters.

So if you decide to spend some time away from your hotel and want sand between your toes you will be spoilt for choice!

The nearest airport is Reus which is 7 miles away. The following airlines fly there from the UK and Ireland.

Jet2 from Belfast, Birmingham, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds/Bradford, London-Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle upon Tyne.
RyanAir from Birmingham, Dublin, East Midlands, Liverpool, London-Southend, London-Stansted, Manchester and Shannon.
TUI from Aberdeen, Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Doncaster/Sheffield, Dublin, Glasgow, London–Gatwick, Manchester and Newcastle.

Another option is Barcelona El Prat which is 50 miles away. These are the airlines that fly there from the UK and Ireland.
